INITIAL THOUGHTS:

I was looking for a good book in goodreads when I saw this one. The title got me to raise my eyebrow and piqued my interest. At first I thought it was some Paranormal Romance hence the title Animal Magnetism but I was wrong. It was a Contemporary/Chick-lit kind of book. But I did not let it hinder my intention so I read the synopsis. Nothing fancy, I said to myself but I like the name of the hero so I decided to give it a try. And boy, it was worth it.

MY REVIEW:

I'm at lost for words. Really lost and I think my mind and heart was still in the book. Damn.  I'm hooked, line and sinker. I'm not really into sappy chick-lit romances but for the first time in a long while, I was glad I've stumbled upon this book. Happy sigh. x

The story is about these two people (Brady and Lilah) who tries so hard not to fall for each other but fate have a different plan for them. It was fun to watch them struggle so hard to hide/pretend they're not so into each other. I fell for their banters, love scenes, and their crazy addiction to junk-foods. x

Brady Miller's ideal Saturday was pretty simple--sleep in, be woken by a hot, naked woman for sex, followed by a breakfast that he didn't have to cook.

From the moment I read that line of chapter one I knew I'd like Brady Miller. He got my panty's in a twist. I love him. Hard. Deep. He's an ex-army, a pilot who's currently on leave and decided to stop by and have a short visit at Sunshine, Idaho where his foster brothers lived. He does not do permanent relationship and the love stuffs. He goes anywhere his assignment demands him not caring about anyone or anyone until he met Lilah Young and she changed everything. She's like a breathe of fresh air from his non-existent love-lust life. And he can't get enough of her.

Be still, her hungry heart . .

Their first meeting makes me smile up until now. It was just a simple scene but so funny.  The dialogues of the MC's are so natural, nothing romantic yet it got me hooked and made me smile and sigh. I really admired Jill Shalvis' way of telling the story. She made it sure that I was not just reading but made me feel like I was the object of Brady's intense attention. And mind you, that was one hot lust-filled attention. Phew. Every scene is full of witty dialogues and lines. The side characters are amazing (Adam, Dell, Jade, Holly) and even the animals (Twinkles, Boss, Abigail, Sadie) are so cute that it's a joy to have them in a scene.

The sexual chemistry of the MC is so evident and so good. One hot pilot on a platter please. Brady's insatiable need for Lilah is so damn awesome. What would I give to have that kind of man in my life. (Sadly I don't, so I'll just settle for my book-boyfriends). The alpha-attitude he have in and out of the bedroom is damn right sexy.

From the first, up to the last chapter I did not so much blink an eye afraid I'd miss even a single word of the story. I was that hooked. I devoured pretty much everything and I love it.

All in all, it was an enjoyable awesome, orgasmic read. I'll definitely read the next installment and it's a sure recommended one.

MEMORABLE LINES/CONVO:

"You, Lilah, scare the hell out of me."
"Why?" she whispered.
He met her gaze and held it. "Because I could fall for you, Lilah. Hard and deep and never want to come back up."
She could scarcely breathe. "What's wrong with that?"
"We'd drown."

"I want you. I usually put what I need ahead of what I want, but with you the line blurs." - Brady.

"You undo me, Lilah. Every time."
"Do you like that?"
"You nearly rendered me unconscious with pleasure. I fucking loved it."

"You going will leave a huge gaping hole." She pressed her open hand to her chest. "Here. You're in my heart, and there's no way around that. I consider you mine, Brady. Mine." A single, devastating tear fell and she swiped it angrily away. "But you need your happy place. If it's not here, you have to go to it. And I need to let you." She paused, let out a soft broken breath. "You taught me that."
